JAMB Postpones 2025 Direct Entry Registration Date

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has officially announced the commencement date for the 2025 Direct Entry (DE) registration for candidates seeking admission into Nigerian universities.

According to JAMB, the sale of the 2025 Direct Entry application forms will begin on Wednesday, March 12, 2025.

This registration process is specifically designed for candidates who possess A-Level certificates, diplomas, or degrees and wish to secure admission into their preferred universities.

This announcement comes shortly after the conclusion of the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) registration, which ended on Saturday, March 8, 2025.

JAMB revealed that a total of 2,030,627 candidates registered for the UTME, with 200,115 candidates participating in the Mock-UTME and 630 applications received for the trial mock examination.

Dr. Fabian Benjamin, JAMB’s Public Communications Advisor, emphasized that all applicants must meet the specified admission requirements. He also warned that any false information provided during registration would lead to severe consequences.

To ensure the authenticity of qualifications, a special verification committee will review all submitted A-Level credentials, and any attempt to present fraudulent documents will result in legal action.

JAMB has also advised tertiary institutions to conduct independent verification of applicants’ credentials before granting admission.

Prospective candidates should note that registration can only be completed at JAMB-approved Professional Registration Centres (PRC) across the country.

The board has reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining transparency and integrity in the admission process
